EnglishPlusU is an Irish-led school of human language teachers. We introduce students to tutors for English and other languages. You can reach us at contact@info.com.

If you write through the contact form we receive your first name, last name, email address, and message. If you open the form from a teacher’s page, we also receive that teacher’s name and profile so we know who you asked to meet. If you email or call us, we receive whatever you choose to send, which may include a phone number, preferred language, and scheduling notes.

When you browse the site, our hosting provider may automatically record technical data such as IP address, browser type, device, and pages visited. That is ordinary server logging, used to keep the site running and secure.

We do not ask for payment-card numbers on this website. If you later pay for lessons, the payment provider — not us — handles the card details.

We use enquiry details to reply, to see whether a teacher is a good fit, and to arrange a trial lesson. We may share your name and what you told us with a teacher if you have asked to be introduced.

We use technical logs to operate, protect, and improve the website. We do not use your messages to train an AI product, and lessons at EnglishPlusU are taught by people, not generated by a model.

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we typically rely on: taking steps at your request before a contract (answering an enquiry or arranging a lesson); our legitimate interest in running a school and keeping the site secure; and, where needed, your consent or a legal obligation.

Teachers, when you want an introduction. Hosting and email providers who process data on our instructions. Advisors or authorities if the law requires it. We do not sell lists of students or visitors, and we do not share data with advertisers for their own marketing.

We keep enquiry correspondence as long as we need it to complete your request and for a reasonable time afterwards — usually up to 24 months — unless you ask us to delete it sooner and we have no legal reason to retain it. Server logs are kept for a shorter operational period.

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to certain uses, and — where applicable — to receive it in a portable format. You may also complain to a data-protection authority in your country.

This website is aimed at adults arranging lessons. A parent or guardian may enquire on behalf of a child. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children through this site.

If you contact us from another country, your message is received by the school and may be stored where our hosting and email providers operate. We take reasonable steps to treat that information carefully.

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page.
